Postcard the third

Well, tomorrow we are flying home again. It has been a wonderful last week here in Ontario. We have been visiting the Maiers - good friends of ours and we have been so blessed. They have spoiled us with great food, great conversation, lots of relaxation as well as some excitement. Yesterday we all went to Marineland. We all had such a fun day - the dolphin show, the killer whale "splash session", lots of fun rides, feeding the bears, seeing little baby Beluga whales (one of them was only 6 days old) swimming with their Mammas, enjoying a very nice picnic under the trees (it was a scorcher!), and just having a blast being together. I took so many pictures - hey, what are digital cameras for! I was so thankful to have had such an exciting day and I know the kids will remember it for years and years to come. By the way, after Marineland, we headed to Niagara Falls and watched the fireworks - whoa! That was AMAZING!!! Quite the spectacular ending to a fantastic day.

Today we had a much more relaxed day sleeping in, hanging out here at the house (thank the Lord for air conditioning!) and going in our friends' lovely pool. The kids (and us adults) had such fun splashing around and getting cooled off (another hot, sunny day in S. Ont.). What a great day. This evening after a really nice supper provided by my friend's mom who joined us for the evening, we all sat together in the living room and watched the slide show of all the photos I took of our time together. It was a very nice last evening.

Tomorrow we will attend church with our friends and then we will have some time together here at their house again and then we will pack up and head to the airport. Back to home - back to reality! I must say that I am actually looking forward to getting back to our place and getting settled back at home. I am already starting to think about work and starting to get geared up for all that awaits me there. I'm actually looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting lots done. Weird, eh? I guess that means I have really had a good vacation. Yup, that's definitely what it means.

Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful holiday and for keeping us safe and giving us so many great times and good memories to keep with us for a long time to come.
