Well, I have survived the week! Tomorrow my Josh comes home from camp!
: ) : ) : ) YAY!!! ( : ( : ( :
He's been there for the last week and 1/2 of the two weeks before that. I normally hate being on my own when he's gone. It makes things extra difficult now that I'm working outside the home. We have all done fairly well, though - thank you, Lord. On Tuesday, the girls had our friend Markus hang out with them for a few hours, which was awesome - gave me a chance to catch up on my 2nd job at Chrysler, which I have neglected the last few weeks. Markus did really great with them. He played games with them, rented them a movie and watched it with them (Eight Below - the one about the dogs) and HE EVEN INSISTED ON COOKING SUPPER!!! When I arrived, they had already eaten and were just finished doing all the dishes and cleaning up. My supper was waiting on the stove. Wow! I could have that guy hang around any time! Then yesterday we all went to the park in the afternoon and had a very nice, relaxing time. Unfortunately, we had to cut that short as one of the girls had a bit of an um..."accident." - 'nuf said?
Then in the evening I had Rob and Tash come over for supper and a games night. It was a really good time. We played:
This is the expansion version of Settlers - one of our favorite games. I was a little anxious about trying to learn how to play the expansion - didn't think I could understand all the various new rules. I actually really enjoyed it - a lot. It is a much more complicated version of Settlers with a lot more to think about but I did OK and Rob actually explained it really well. I could have won the game at one point but decided we were all having too much fun and I didn't really want it to end yet. So we kept playing and then Tash won. I was really happy for her 'cuz she hadn't won at Settlers yet. So YAY for Tash!So today is Thursday. It's camp-out in the living room night at our place. It's become somewhat of a tradition this month. My girls are really excited. First off, I am taking them to the cheap theatre to see:

We have read good things about this movie so we are going to try it out. Then we'll come home and play a game or two, have some snacks and grab our sleeping bags and camp out. They all really enjoy that so I'm sure it will be fun.
And GUESS WHAT? I have taken the day off work tomorrow!!! That means I get to sleep in with my sweeties and have a leisurely day with them. How awesome does that sound?!?! And I think I'll make them pancakes in the morning. But shhhhh...don't tell them - I'm going to surprise them with that one.
So, as you can probably tell, I'm doing great and am feeling thankful that all is well and that my man will be home soon. Also excited that my brother is coming to visit on Sunday and he's staying for two weeks. Can't wait!
Well, hope you all have an awesome weekend.
